PRINTER CARTRIDGES:  Please, bring to the office your empty printers ink cartridges. We get money for them!!!!

Earn Cash for our School!Bring Box Tops to your child's Classroom.

The fundraising coordinators will go by every classroom to pick up Box Tops starting on the month of September and throughout the year.  Dates will be announced.  The top three classes will have a party in June.


May Reminders

  1. VIRTUS TRAINING: Sts. Peter and Paul will be offering a VIRTUS training on May 2, 2012, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.  The session will be in English.  To register, please, go to www.virtusonline.org, scroll down and click at  Miami, FL (Archdiocese) to register at Sts. Peter and Paul session or at your convenience, other sessions and locations.   It is of the utmost importance that those of you who would like to be in contact with our students sign up for the course.  In fact, all volunteers must go through the VIRTUS training.  Your presence in the classroom makes you a volunteer.  Due to the sensitivity of the subject, no children under 18 are allowed in the training. 
  2. FINGERPRINT SESSION:  On May 22, 2012 we will having a fingerprint session for volunteers from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Please register at www.adom.sofn.net as Sts. Peter and Paul School – Volunteer.  Print and bring the Bar Code to the fingerprint session.  Please, call Mrs. Semper at 305-858-3722 for an appointment.
  3. Step Up For Students Scholarship: Applications for Step Up for Students Scholarship for the 2012-2013 school year are now available for Kindergarten through 12th grade. Please visit www.stepupforstudents.org. for information and online applications.  Please, notice: A child entering 2nd grade through 5th grade is no longer required to have attended a Florida Public School for the 2011-12 school year.
  4. Florida Mathematics League 2011-2012 Results: The results for the Florida Mathematics

  1. National Junior Honor Society: On Friday, April 20, 2012, the following students from Sts. Peter and Paul School were inducted in the St. Joseph Chapter of the National Honor Society.  These students excel not only in academics, but also in leadership, citizenship and service.  The students are: 7th Grade: Kyle Castello, Nicole Chavarria, Rafael Crotty, Jonathan Davila, William Diaz, Elizabeth Elias, Joseph Fortuny, Carolyn Galan, Sahilys Gonzalez, Kelly Liang, Marianny Machin, Brando Mena, Natalie Quade, Sofia Ruiloba, Andres Volosin, Gregory Zlatkin; 8th Grade: Alexia Assaad, Paul Calabrese, Emily Del Valle, Jason Gago, Gabriela Galbis, Daniel Galindo, Pablo Garces, Matthew Garcia, Maximilian E. Harrison, Gabriela Hernandez, Sophia Kaskavalciyan, Sophia Maristany, Roberto Martell, Alicia Mota, Nicholas Perez, Sophia Silva, Alex Vizcarra, Sabrina Zelaya, Rebecca Zlatkin.  We would like to congratulate all of them and their moderator, Mrs. Vicky Alvarez.
  2. Common Core Workshops: Mrs. Ana Cabezas, Mrs. Aleida Cruz, Mrs. Maria Elena Jude and Mrs. Jocelyn Zlatkin had attended various workshops on Common Core presented by the Archdiocese of Miami.  We are excited about the various possibilities.
  3. Super Kids Workshops: Mrs. Mercy Guzman, Mrs. Aleida Cruz, Mrs. Madeline Bustillo and Mrs. Jocelyn Zlatkin attended a workshop on Super Kids. 

 

Sports News for the School Year 2011-2012:  The following teams placed as follows: 1. Girls Jr. Varsity Basketball: ACC Champions Undeafeated; 2. Girls Spring Volleyball: ACC Champions Undeafeated; 3.  Track and Field: Primary Girls: ACC 3rd Place, Primary Boys: ACC Champions, Jr. Varsity Boys: ACC 3rd Place and TriCounty 3rd Place, Varsity Girls: ACC Field Events-3rd Place, ACC Running-1st Place, TriCounty-2nd Place, Varsity Boys: ACC Field Events 2nd Place; 4. Cheerleading: Primary: ACC 3rd Place, Jr. Varsity: ACC Champions; also, the following teams finished their season: Primary Boys Basketball, Jr. Varsity Baseball, Varsity Baseball, Jr. Varsity Girls Track and Field, Varsity Cheerleading, Girls Varsity Softball.   We would like to congratulate all the teams and their coaches for a job well done! Go Panthers!
