Panther of the Prowl

A year after college, Matthew George set out to the West in Wyoming with a truck full of no idea…Fast forward 4 years, he’s put a few different arrows into his quiver. In the fall, he lives 8000ft above sea level in the remote Teton Wilderness as a big game hunting guide for elk and deer. He wakes up his hunters at 3:30am every morning with a fire in their wood burning furnace. Then, he scrapes ice off their horses’ backs and proceeds to saddle them. After breakfast, they ride out in the dark and starting hunting elk. He field dresses the elk while his 2 hunters survey the land for grizzly bears. He packs the meat on mules. In spring and summer, he guides fly fishing trips as he rows his clients down the Snake, Green and Salt rivers. In the winter, he’s a snowmobile guide. His favorite Panther memories are having the privilege to attend the Turkey Bowl every thanksgiving morning with his classmates.
